The wealth of medieval East Anglia was built upon the wool trade, and the weaving of cloth that was sought after all over Europe. Gold poured into the coffers of Norwich merchants, making them some of the richest in medieval England, and they in turn lavished great sums on their churches and houses.

Join the nationally renowned ‘Worstead Weavers’ to learn more about the medieval cloth industry, enjoy practical demonstrations of the craft, and discover why the weavers of East Anglia were the envy of the rest of Europe.
