Castle Museum: 1-4pm

The Paston Treasure exhibition at the Norwich Castle Museum celebrates the legacy of collecting found in a powerful Norfolk family, the Pastons, in the 17th century. Created shortly after the restoration of the monarchy in the 1660s, the Paston Treasure painting is much more than a display of decorative art, but a document of the 17th century’s launch into the modern age with colonial expansion, scientific and artistic discovery, familial ambition, the pursuit of wealth, love and loss.

Collisions Theatre and Paston Footprints bring the human beings behind the painting to life through a promenade performance of the lives of the family and the stories behind the painting. Join us for a uniquely dramatized exhibition, with music, song, and a dramatization of the Paston letters, objects, and lives.
