The early music trio, Hexachordia presents an informal concert which brings to life the musical scene under Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Playing on a wide range of authentic copies of original instruments from Tudor era such as the harp, recorders, lute and viols, the group perform pieces that would have been played by court musicians (as well as by the two great monarchs themselves, both of whom were accomplished musicians), noble families, and performers in the streets and taverns. In between the music, members of Hexachordia will introduce and demonstrate the various instruments they play.
